This text uses themes and language from the book of the prophet Joel. It is intended for use in Third Order Holy Communion together with the Great Thanksgiving (Third Order APBA form) using themes from Joel.
Generous God,
you show yourself to be gracious and merciful,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
Bring us to the everlasting banquet
where we will eat in plenty and be satisfied forever.
Father,
we offer ourselves to you
as a living sacrifice
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Send us out in the power of your Spirit
to live and work to your praise and glory.
